Habits That Changed My Life | and Can Transform Yours

Since I went to college, I have started to take my life more seriously and learned a lot about myself and what gives my life more meaning. Ultimately there are ups that have a direct positive impact on your life, but there are also downs that only seem negative at first. But if you have the right mindset, you can learn something from every moment, whether it looks positive or negative. You can even learn the most things in your darkest days, and the thing is that you should never give up, because everything changes and nothing is permanent. There are however a couple of things I do that have changed my life for the better, and could change your life as well. Of course everyone finds fullfillment in different things, but I hope this will give you some inspiration. These are Habits that changed my life.

Habits That Changed My Life | Meditation

I have discussed this in another blog post, but meditating has made a big change in my life. Whenever I meditate in silence, without any distractions, I feel more alive and start to appreciate little things. Meditation is so good for every aspect of your life. It gives you more focus, self-awareness, joy, direction and less stress and anxiety to name a few things. If you practice meditation consitently, you will start to see improvements in your life in a short time without a doubt. But meditation is a lifelong practice, and it is something that becomes part of your life when you see notice the changes in your perspective. I believe everyone can benefit from meditating, and that the world will be a better place if everyone practices meditation.

Exercising

This year I build a gym with my brother in our shed. It has some basic equipment, like a set of dumbells, a bench press machine and dip bars. But that is more than enough for us. Working out on a consistent basis gives you more confidence, and whenever I overthink a lot about things, or feel anxious or stressed, I workout for an hour and feel way better. It is a way to put your thoughts on halt and forget about other things for a while. I have worked out in a gym before, but I love the flexibility that a home gym gives, and I can keep upgrading and improving it with new equipment and a better interior. However what matters most is to find a way to exercise that works best for your situation.

Putting my phone on airplane mode

I have started using my phone less and put it on airplane mode most of the time. Since I started doing this, I am enjoying things like films and books more, and I worry less. I do not even miss using my phone that much. I only check it a couple times a day for important messages or phone calls. The phone is a big distraction in many lifes. It should only be used as a tool. When you start using your phone less, you will have more patience and focus, and you will generally enjoy things more. It is also better for your social skills, because I believe things like social media isolates people.

Reading

Whenever you read, you gain more knowledge. The best part is that you can read anything you want and become specialized in any kind of topic. Reading is another habit that gives your mind something to do, so that you worry less. If you want to learn more about something, there is always a book that you can learn from. Books are basically blueprints for anything that you want to achieve in your life. If you combine it with other positive habits, like the ones I mentioned, the possibilities are endless.

Conclusion

The habits I mentioned are the ones that I have built, and give my life more meaning and fullfillment. But it works differently for everyone, since everyone is different. However, I hope this article has given you some inspiration and maybe a different perspective. Remember to take your time and do not be too hard on yourself.

Feel free to read this article on productivity.

Have a good day.
